Chambers's Encyclopaedia was founded in 1859 by W.
& R. Chambers of Edinburgh and became one of the most important English
language encyclopaedias of the 19th and 20th centuries, developing a reputation
for accuracy and scholarliness that was reflected in other works produced by
the Chambers publishing company. The encyclopaedia is no longer produced.
All these titles are long out of print, and have been
scanned by various organisations around the globe. All these books are scans of
the original books from Library collections (and 100 years old), therefore, you
might get marks, scratches, some text written on it (usually pencil), all sort
of things which were done to the books by the Public in the library during the
last 100 years. 99% of the pages & illustrations/drawings are intact.
You will need a PDF reader like Adobe Reader.

Refunds
Sellers have to offer a refund for certain items only if they are faulty, such as: Personalised items and custom-made items, Perishable items, Newspapers and magazines, Unwrapped CDs DVDs and computer software. If you used your PayPal balance or bank account to fund the original payment, the refunded money will go back to your PayPal account balance. If you used a credit or debit card to fund the original payment, the refunded money will go back to your card. The seller will effect the refund within three working days but it may take up to 30 days for Paypal to process the transfer. For payments funded partially by a card and partially by your balance/bank, the money taken from your card will go back to your card and the remainder will return to your PayPal balance.
