Product Description

Mimulus Cardinalis otherwise known as the ‘scarlet money flower’ create luscious forest green foliage, with vampire red bold tubular blooms. This makes an ideal waterside plant and is also great for bird gardens! This creeping mimulus will attract plenty of pollinating insects, due to its nectar rich blooms that will appear from June through to October! Sow March to May. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Seal container inside a polythene bag and keep at a tempera-ture of between 18-20C (64-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germina-tion. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14 to 30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for 10 to 15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 75cm (30 inches) apart. For best results, provide a moist well-drained soil in partial shade. Product Specifications: Position: Full sun, sun or semi shade Height: Up to 30cm to 50cm when fully established Spread: Up to when fully established Supplied as 1 packet of 200 seeds Delivered with growing and care instructions Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
