In our corner of Sicily, Vittoria in the south east of the island, Frappato is the locals' favourite red wine. In the hot summer days, we enjoy it lightly chilled, often with fish. The perfectly balanced, elegant Frappato reflects the harmony between our winemaking and nature.Style: Smooth and elegantFlavour & Aroma: Wild strawberries, with touches of spiceIdeal with: Meaty pasta sauces, cheese, or slightly chilled with tuna or swordfishSanta Tresa's organic philosophy encourages local wildlife: wild rabbits feed on the grass that we let grow between the vines to create our very own "biodiversity"At Santa Tresa we respect and encourage nature which in return allows us to produce great wine that really is more than just organic, it's also unique!Wine of Italy, Organic wine, In harmony with nature, Vegan friendlyOrganic wineVegan friendlyAt Santa Tresa we don't use pesticides! Not even organic. We only use very limited amount of Sulphur and Copper in the vineyard. Instead of manure (these are vegan wines after all!) we fertilise their vines using Favino that is fava bean that we grow ourselves and is extremely effective. We use a whole host of methods to combat diseases, like sexual confusion to treat the Tignola moth, and a variety of Bacillus that is a natural defence against several diseases like moths and mildew.
